Composition Lab: Tracks and Field

from Synthase

Hand with pen and music sheet

Field recordings are any sound recordings made outside of a studio: in your house, your backyard, a shady trail in the woods, a summery beach packed with tourists, a skatepark, a junkyard–it’s summer, let’s get outside! In this class you will build a sound library, learn basic recording and editing techniques in a DAW, study music that uses field recordings, and make field-recording-based music of your own. No music reading or instrumental ability is required.
